Set 1,300 years after the events of How To Train Your Dragon, dragons are now just a legend to the modern world. When a geological anomaly opens a huge crack, kilometers deep on the Earth's surface, scientists from all over the world gather at a new research facility to study the mysterious phenomenon.

Soon, a group of misfit children, brought there by their parents, discover the truth about the dragons and where they've been hiding - a secret they must keep to themselves to protect what they've discovered.

Tom is a smart and young adventurer. Raised by his mother, a scientist, her curious nature spoiled him. Tom has an impulsive need to explore and check things out - but sometimes he forgets to consider the consequences.

Tom's dragon is Thunder. A Night Light dragon who lost his home and way when the rift opened. The Nightlights are the descendants of Toothless and the Light Fury from the Dragon feature films.

With the playset Thunder & Tom from PLAYMOBIL, you can now bring the fun of the dragon home. The Thunder Dragon can move all four legs, as well as its head and wings. The integrated saddle allows Tom to ride Thunder. Thunder has a light module and can shoot plasma darts from his mouth. This is done by inserting an arrow into the dragon's mouth and then closing it. Pushing the head or ears down, the arrow is thrown from the mouth again.
